NATALE ARCURI
CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER
Full Professor of Environmental Technical Physics at the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering (DIMEG) of the University of Calabria. He is the author of over 200 scientific works published in national and international journals on topics relating to energy problems. He supervised several experimental facilities at the University of Calabria. Appointed by the Rector of the University of Calabria as Delegate for International Relations with Mexico, Honduras and Paraguay, from 2020 to today. He is the scientific director of numerous national and international research projects. He is a member of AICARR, ISES, ATI, BSA.

ALFREDO SGUGLIO
CEO
PhD in Science and Technology Studies. Urban and rural economist. He has gained experience in the field of socio-economic research using the main data analysis methods applied to urban, communication and sustainable development issues. He deals with Smart Cities, technological innovation and social acceptability of technologies. He has published several articles and is the author of three books. He coordinates the activities of the Smart City Study Center at the DIMEG Department of the University of Calabria and is President of the Centro de Estudios para Smart City para America Latina. He is a member of the Italian Association of Sociology and of the International Visual Sociology Association (UK).

LUANA GALLUCCIO
RESEARCHER
Graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Bari. Expert in "Communicating the smart city". He carried out research at the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering of the University of Calabria on the topic of biogas. He currently deals with renewable energy and participates in the research group on Sargasso with the team from the UFHEC University in the Dominican Republic.

PIERPAOLO FILIPPELLI
PROJECT MANAGER
Environmental engineer with university specialization in "Communicating Smart Cities" and in "intelligent systems for the in-home safety of people and structures". He coordinated the "microalgae oil" project financed with the PNRM by the Ministry of Defense. He is a member of the national career of researchers, in the engineering area, at the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic. He is involved in projects funded at national and international level and in research and development activities on the topics of smart cities, smart farms, biogas, IoT and Big data. He has published articles on the topic of sargassum.

ANGELO MACILLETTI
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS DIRECTOR
Graduated in Diplomacy and International Services, Master in International Economics and Globalization. Specialization in international politics, cooperation and international relations. He coordinated economic, cultural and development cooperation activities at the Italian Embassy in Santo Domingo, with territorial responsibilities for Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti, Jamaica and Saint Kitts and Nevis. He was general director of the Italian-Dominican Chamber of Commerce.

ROSY PALETTA
RESEARCHER
Materials engineer. PhD in Life, Science and Technology at the University of Calabria. It deals with green solutions in the field of food packaging and the production of biogas from organic matrices. Participates in the research group on Sargasso with the team from the UFHEC University in the Dominican Republic.

DAVID FELIZ
PROJECT TECHNICIAN
Electromechanical engineer specialized in electronics, with experience in the maintenance of industrial machinery and in the execution of automation projects in industrial environments. Master's studies in "Industry of the Future & Smart Manufacturing". He is currently developing Internet of Things (IoT) and process automation projects using microcontrollers.
